Our family-friendly event supports groundbreaking pediatric research at the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital. For both in-person and virtual experience, we encourage participants to create a fundraising page to raise money to help make a difference for kids and earn fundraising prizes.
For the virtual experience, runners and walkers can follow along with the app, RaceJoy, and experience the #Comer5K in their neighborhoods or anywhere they choose. Through the app, we will also offer two suggested 5K routes: one in Hyde Park and one in Lincoln Park. The app will include exclusive content such as messages from patients and staff, live phone tracking, progress alerts, results, and race information.
