5K for Kevin

This will be the first Annual 5K for Kevin Memorial Run/Walk. It is being sponsored in cooperation with CASAColumbia.org. All monies raised will go towards funding research for the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and addiction.

This event is being held in memory of Kevin Zaug, our friend, our brother, our son.

Kevin was kind and funny. He enjoyed golf, music and fishing. He was adventurous, surfing beaches in Hawaii. Both athletic and talented, he was drafted by two Major League Baseball teams. In his short life he accomplished so much but he always remained humble. He was all about family, loving the simple things in life and we loved him. At age 34, Kevin lost his long struggle with addiction, a battle so many lose every day.

It's time we start looking at addiction as a legitimate illness, remove the stigma and shame, and change the way we perceive and treat this problem. Please join us in raising money to change the story of addiction and substance abuse.
