Gertude's Glory Family 5k

Born on November 29th, Gertrude lived a life dedicated to making a positive impact on the world around her. Her love for animals was evident in her commitment to animal welfare and advocacy. She actively volunteered at local animal shelters, participated in rescue missions, and supported various organizations working towards the protection and well-being of animals. Throughout her life, Gertrude embraced new challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm. She constantly sought to expand her knowledge and skills by immersing herself in different areas of interest. From clothes making/design to cooking, gardening to carpentry, Gertrude had an insatiable curiosity that led her to explore numerous hobbies and crafts. Her versatility and willingness to learn made her a true inspiration to those around her.

Sadly, Gertrude passed away on August 28, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication. The Gertrude’s Glory Family 5k virtual run was established as a way to honor her memory and continue her mission of making a positive impact in the world. Participants from all walks of life plan to come together to run or walk the 5k distance in their own neighborhoods, raising funds for causes close to Gertrude’s heart, such as animal welfare and foster care support.
