RanWild 5K

The RanWild 5k is a run/walk in honor and memory of Ransom Wilder Elmore that will take place annually on EARTH DAY. Ransom-Wilder (also known as RanWild) is the infant son of Ronnie and Cassy Elmore.  He is also the little brother to Tristan and Briar Elmore.

Ransom, was born via emergency c-section after a prolapsed cord on January 31, 2016 at 37 weeks and 5 days gestation.  He suffered a severe brain injury due to asphyxia of the umbilical cord.  Ransom's prognosis was grim and his family made the decision to contact KODA and donate organs.  Ransom, at the time of his death February 10, 2016, was known as the youngest organ donor candidate from UK Hospital.

Ransom's legacy lives on in his family and those who loved and knew his story.  His life, although short, touched many.   This year and year's to come the funds raised will be awarded in the form of scholarship to a Lincoln County and Casey County High School senior. 

Each participant who registers early will receive a RanWild 5K shirt.  We will also have trees to pass out to participants once again this year to be planted in honor of Ransom.
