Janice's Jog

Join us for Janice's Jog on Saturday, July 10th!! The event is a 5k route in Johnson City and start time is at 9 a.m. with packet pick-up at 8. Event will begin at the Alabama Street trailhead of the Tweetsie Trail in Johnson City. This event is in remembrance of Alzheimer's fighter, Janice Sullivan Morrell and funds raised will go to advancing the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association and Tennessee Alzheimers. 

Janice was an avid adventurer, always up for a power walk, hike or a trip. She loved and was loved by her family and friends because of her caring and willing spirit. Though she was taken too soon, this walk is in remembrance of her spirit and serves as a reminder of the more than 50 million people worldwide who are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias. It's imperative to support organizations that fight for those with this disease because it's estimated that in the United States alone, 16 million friends and family members are providing solo care to their loved ones.
