IS 223 Classic Race Description

John Sorocco and the I.S 223 Running for Success Team are proud to announce that the third annual I.S. 223 5K Run /Family Mile Walk will be held on Sunday, May 7 at 10 am on the scenic Belt Parkway Promenade at Bay Parkway. The I.S. 223 Running Team is made up of students from the sixth grade through college. The team runs year-round: on weekends as well as during the summer months. The I.S. 223 Team has built an outstanding reputation throughout the five boroughs. Within the last few weeks members of the team paced a Staten Island Track Association member for a few miles during his 50 mile race and during the holiday week they ran in Prospect Park alongside members of the Run for Chinatown Team. Through a generous NYRR grant and the support of the I.S. 223 staff each year, twenty plus I.S. 223 attend a week long sleep away running camp in upstate New York. Great race to run for everyone!!!

The legendary I.S.223's running race, it's run by great John Sorroco and Susan Megan and the alumni and current team. I recommend everyone to go and run it and walk it. Every support count's. School got great history and great runners and awesome coach. Can't wait to run it again!!!

Great race to run for everyone!!!

The legendary I.S.223's running race, it's run by great John Sorroco and Susan Megan and the alumni and current team. I recommend everyone to go and run it and walk it. Every support count's. School got great history and great runners and awesome coach. Can't wait to run it again!!!
