Weather Cancellation Policies
The Elves safety is our biggest concern and if any of the threatening weather conditions listed below are present the day of the event, the event may be delayed or canceled. When weather conditions or other physical conditions present a danger to participants, The Running of the Elves officials maintain the right to cancel the event. Less threatening conditions may cause alterations of the course or the post event celebration to ensure participant, volunteer and community safety. In the event of a cancelation due to weather conditions, refunds or future credits will not be issued.
The Running of the Elves may be canceled if any of the following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm, Thunderstorm Warning, "Heavy" Rain, other major weather conditions - like a Blizzard or something - it could happen.
