Liberty County High School JROTC All-Service 6K Run

Come out and walk or run the 1^st Annual Liberty County JROTC All-Service Memorial 6K!  This 6K for Memorial Day honors all six branches of our Armed Forces; Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force. 

Who: Liberty County High School JROTC

What: This 6K race is an annual fundraiser for the LCHS JROTC program.

When: Saturday, May 20^th at 8:00am (Central Time)

Where: The race starts at M&B Railroad Museum in Blountstown, FL and follows the Cross Seminole Trail South down to the turn-around point at the Florida Trail Neal Landing Trailhead.  The finish line is back at the museum.

Why:  Funds raised will help JROTC accomplish one of its core missions which is to teach it’s Cadets the benefits of community service.  Funds raised from this event will go towards this year’s service project which is the purchase and installation of a 25ft commercial flagpole for the Gold Star Academy school in Bristol, FL..  The Gold Star Academy is a private school that specializes in teaching special needs children.

-          This race is also meant to be a time to take a moment to remember fallen service members.  The Memorial Day holiday is an important time to pause for a moment and remind ourselves how blessed we are to live in the United States of America and how blessed we are that we have men and women that are willing to lay down their lives for us and others in defense of freedom.

-          All participants who sign up prior to May 1^st are guaranteed a race shirt.  A limited number of shirts will be available for those that sign up after that date on a first come basis.

-          Awards will be given to the Overall male and female finisher and Age Group awards will go to the top three finishers for each gender in five-year increments beginning at age 5.  5-10, 10-15, 15-20, 20-25, 25-30, 30-35, 35-40, 40-45, 45-50, 50-55, 55-60, 60-65, 65-70, 70-75, 75+

-          Race-day registration will be available for $25 but there may not be t-shirts available.
