Join us on Saturday, October 18, 2025, for the Support Our Troops 5K, a heartfelt community race held at beautiful Wolfe's Pond Park in Staten Island. This annual event is more than just a run—it's a tribute, a celebration, and a way to come together in honor of those who serve and those we’ve lost.

This year, we run in loving memory of Vinny Walters, a cherished father, friend, veteran, and community member who passed in December 2020. Vinnie embodied the spirit of service, loyalty, and love, and this event honors his legacy by bringing people together in unity and gratitude.

Race Details

• Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025

• Start Time: 10:00 AM (Check-in opens at 8:30 AM)

• Location: Wolfe's Pond Park, Staten Island, NY

• Distance: 5K (3.1 miles) – chip timed

• Course: A scenic loop through one of Staten Island's most beloved parks, featuring waterfront views, wooded trails, and the vibrant colors of fall foliage.

Why We Run

The Support Our Troops 5K is a celebration of courage and sacrifice. A portion of all proceeds will go toward organizations supporting veterans and active-duty military families.

Running in memory of Vinny Walters, we invite participants to bring stories, wear tribute bibs, and celebrate the lives of heroes, past and present.

• Tribute wall for sharing memories of Vinnie and other loved ones
