10th Annual Chilly Cheeks 5K Race Description
Chilly Cheeks & Bare Buns 5K Runs at Star Ranch
Enjoy a rural run through Star Ranch in McDade, Texas — just 30 minutes east of Austin on US Hwy 290. Our scenic 5K course winds through open pastures and shaded woodland trails for about three kilometers before entering the developed portion of the ranch. The final two kilometers follow sand and gravel paths connecting member cottages and cabins, finishing at our beautiful pool.
After the race, cool off and relax by the pool while enjoying a light meal fresh off the grill as we announce the race results.
About the Series
Star Ranch is proud to be the premier stop of the 2025 A.A.N.R. Southwest Nude Racing Series. You don’t need to participate in any other race to join us here — everyone is welcome!
Our 5K events are clothing optional, meaning you can wear as much (or as little) as you like. All runners must be pre-registered before race day.

This was an item that been on my Bucket List for some time and was not disappointed. The folks at Star Ranch we're very hospitable, accommodating and organized. I arrived a few hours early, checked in to receive my bib # (which was written on my left shoulder), got my goody bag and t-shirt before the 1pm starting time, walked the coarse which was very well marked with keeping the red flags on your right side. Water stations were set nicely along the course and the folks there cheered you along the way. They had fruit and drinks for you at the finish line and a nice cheering crowd. We were served cheese burgers and non-alcoholic drinks afterwards in the pool area which was a nice way to cool down do to the much need shade that was provided, which was especially needed for my white cheeks not to get to pink.

More organized, really updated the place more umbrellas, chairs, pickle court, can tell of improvements since last time I ran race. I have really seen advertisements slot in Facebook.

There was a checkin at the office to get a goodie bag. I was not going to walk up there and get it. I liked all of it being together in one place. Race was great; announcer was great; people were superb. I will be back.
