Reconnect 4 Autism's Buddies Not Bullies Events at the Tishomingo County Fair

In honor of bullying prevention month in October, Reconnect 4 Autism and Bearded Villains North Mississippi are partnering up with the Tishomingo County Fair to bring the community together against bullying.

All proceeds from the October events will be going towards the community activities, outreach and events that Reconnect does throughout the year for our families and the community. With October being bullying prevention month we will work towards promoting further anti bullying measures in our community. 

What: Buddies Not Bullies 5K Run and a Fun Color Run

Where: Iuka, MS on the grounds of the Tishomingo County Fair

9am-noon Sensory Friendly day for our special needs students from the Tishomingo County School District and our home school families with special needs who can benefit from this opportunity. The extra accommodations that will be provided are specifically for those who typically struggle to attend this type of event.  We look to make it an easier transition and experience for our special needs community to attend and have an enjoyable time at the County Fair.

4pm-7pm Buddies not Bullies official packet pickup at the Tishomingo County Fair at our Reconnect puzzle trailer.  

5pm Carnival opens, including petting zoo, train rides and the rodeo.

6pm Battle of the Beards (annual free beard competition) participants get free entrance into the fair for the evening. Categories for all types of facial hair including fun for youth and women creative beards.

8:00am Start for the 5K Run with 15 different age group winners. (No Color Run) Race around Woodall Mountain Lake.

9:00am Start for the Color Run

Those registered can choose to participate in ether run or both runs.

Registration: All prices are the same for youth and adults. Includes an event swag bag, an event t-shirt, then there is your opportunity to participate in the competition 5K run with no color powder and also our famous fun color run with all the amenities that Reconnect is known for. With a single registration you can choose to participate in one run of your choice, or both runs if you're up for the challenge.  Shirt size guarantee and sponsorship opportunities deadline is on October 5.
