Battle Day 5K Road Race Description

 

Welcome to the annual Battle Day Road Race which is sponsored by the Friends of the Monument. 

The race is one of the special events commemorating the Battle of Bennington which took place on August 16, 1777. 


The 5K route is a mostly flat (by Vermont standards) out & back starting and ending at the Bennington Battle Monument in Old Bennington VT. There will also be a 1/2 mile Kid’s Fun Run around the Monument which will take place at 8:15 just prior to the 5k which will start at 8:30 with the firing of a musket.

PLEASE NOTE: this run is not  timed but a celebration of all participants whether running or walking!

There will not be day of race registration. Shirt pickup will be before the race beginning at 7:30 at the Monument. 

Both runners and walkers are welcome! Dogs and strollers are strongly discouraged.
