$500 Raised for Cindy Hess Memorial Park

The focus of this years YMCA Santa Run will be for the future development of the Cindy Hess Memorial Park.  Cynthia Harrell Hess passed away late in 2021 but left a lasting mark on all who knew her and on our community.  Cindy was a long time YMCA member, supporter and volunteer.  To honor the legacy of Cindy, the Hess family has a vision to build a gathering space that would serve both the community and YMCA.  We are excited to unveil the renderings of the project with an estimated cost of $3.5 million dollars to complete. 

 This new park space will include:

• A large covered space for group exercise classes, 2 basketball courts and community events. (19,000 sq. ft. under roof)
• 4 Pickleball Courts
• Sand Volleyball Courts
• Turfed multipurpose fields
• Inclusive playground
• Walking / Running path
• A welcome & fellowship atrium
• Miracle League Field 
• Expanded parking
