Champions of Wickenburg Youth (COWY), is a 501(c)3, charitable, non-profit organization.
 
WHAT WE BELIEVE

We at COWY believe the success of our future is found in the hands of the next generation.  Sports, music, and other youth programs help guide our boys and girls to develop principles of hard work, dedication, and endurance. The traits these young people gain from participating in these programs will not only help them be better students, but eventually prepare them to be better parents, citizens, and leaders.  As such, we are focused on helping local youth programs develop safe and effective opportunities for young people.

WHAT WE’RE DOING

COWY continues to raise funds through local donations, as well as fund-raising activities.  Annually, we host Wickenburg’s Wild West Run--a 5k, 10k, half marathon, and Kids' Fun Run.  The number of participants continues to grow each year, and we love the energy and cowboy enthusiasm this event brings to our wonderful community.
 

Since inception, COWY has donated over $52,000 to support youth programs with equipment purchases and to enhance safety and performance.  Some requests we have funded in the last few years are:
 

• Band uniforms

• Band instruments

• Volleyball nets and balls for elementary school programs

• Girls high school soccer uniforms

• Soccer nets, balls, and gloves for youth soccer

• Basketballs for junior high teams

• Solar pool cover for high school swim team

• Timing system for high school and club swim teams

• Shoulder pads for high school football

• Pads for the entire Wickenburg youth football program

• Cheer uniforms for Wickenburg Youth Cheer

• Wrestling mat for high school and club wrestling teams

• Batting cage at Sunset Park

• Permanent storage facility for youth football

• Polos and shirts for high school special ed program
