Please join in with donating to the 1st Annual 2018 BFAM, Inc. and the Douglasville Police Department's 5k Walk/Run of Love, benefiting The Bobby Tillman Scholarship Fund. The Fund will support Senior students within the Douglas County School System!
On Sunday, November 7th, 2010, Bobby Tillman, a Georgia teen was randomly beaten by four teens outside of a neighborhood house party and was killed. Bobby lost his life to bullying; however, this heinous act inadvertently started a nationwide movement. Bobby's family and friends birthed BFAM, Inc. after the tragedy of Bobby's death. Its mission is to nurture the spirits of our youth and promote peace, love, and respect, along with self-worth in our communities. BFAM, Inc. has held winter clothing drives, presenting our impoverished with blankets, clothing, toiletries, and food. BFAM, Inc. also held back-to-school supply drives, with gifts from our community businesses so abundant, that BFAM, Inc. was able to give supplies to all thirty-three (33) schools in the Douglas county school system. BFAM, Inc. has also held a "Bobby Tillman Bowling Extravaganza"Â in 2012 to raise money for the Bobby Tillman Scholarship Fund; and was able to raise over $2,400 to reward college-bound Seniors! TBFAM, Inc.'s mantra for our youth is "STRENGTH = ME"!
The mission of the Douglasville Police Department is to maintain social order within prescribed ethical and constitutional limits, while providing professional law enforcement services. The Agency recognizes that no law enforcement agency can operate at its maximum potential without supportive input from the citizens it serves.
