The Mt. Sterling Community Center, a local not-for-profit organization, is located in Mt. Sterling, Ohio and serves the Mt. Sterling and surrounding areas.
The Community Center offers multiple programs and activities, including, but not limited to:
- Food Pantry
- Summer Lunch Program
- After School Program
- Exercise Classes
- Open Gym
- Teen Night
- Public Rentals
- Seasonal Community Events
The Community Center operates on business and individual donations and the use of volunteers to assist with programs and activities. With a limited source of income for projects and activities, fundraising is used to supplement our business and individual donations.
The Food Pantry is an integral part of the community, which is considered a food desert. Because of this, with the exception of the Food Pantry, our clients have limited access to healthy, fresh food, especially our senior population.
Fundraising events such as the Sterling Fun Run allow the Center to continue to offer fresh food to our residents, as well as programs for youth, adults and seniors.
