PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK & INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT

Event: Steel Athletics Norwegian Foot March 2026 (“Event”)

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS DOCUMENT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Steel Athletics Norwegian Foot March 2026, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I understand that participation in the Event involves completing an approximately 30-kilometer (18.6-mile) endurance march while carrying a weighted rucksack and that participation involves strenuous physical activity.

I understand and voluntarily accept that participation may involve known and unknown risks, including, but not limited to:

• Fatigue, dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat illness, heat stroke, and exposure to weather conditions;

• Muscle strains, sprains, cramps, blisters, abrasions, falls, fractures, and other orthopedic injuries;

• Cardiovascular or respiratory distress, loss of consciousness, or other medical emergencies;

• Injuries associated with carrying a weighted rucksack for an extended distance;

• Uneven, wet, slippery, damaged, or otherwise hazardous surfaces;

• Roads, sidewalks, trails, intersections, curbs, vehicles, traffic, bicycles, other participants, spectators, animals, debris, and other course hazards;

• Equipment failure or improper use of equipment;

• Acts or omissions of other participants or third parties;

• Delayed access to medical assistance due to location, course conditions, weather, or other circumstances; and

• Serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, or death.

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in the Event, whether specifically identified above or not, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

2. PHYSICAL CONDITION AND MEDICAL RESPONSIBILITY

I represent that I am physically capable of participating in this Event and that I am responsible for determining whether my health and physical condition are appropriate for participation.

I understand that Steel Athletics does not provide medical advice or determine whether I am medically fit to participate.

I agree to immediately stop participating and seek assistance if I experience symptoms that may indicate illness or injury.

I understand that Event officials may remove me from the Event if, in their judgment, continuing may create a safety risk to me or others.

3. EVENT RULES AND SAFETY

I agree to follow all Event rules, course markings, safety instructions, traffic controls, and directions provided by Steel Athletics, Event officials, volunteers, law enforcement, medical personnel, or other authorized personnel.

I understand that failure to follow Event rules or instructions may result in disqualification or removal from the course without refund.

I understand that I am responsible for ensuring that my rucksack and other equipment comply with applicable Event requirements.

4. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, and assigns, release and waive claims against Steel Athletics, its owners, officers, employees, coaches, contractors, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, affiliates, agents, Event officials, property owners, and other persons or entities involved in organizing, hosting, supporting, or operating the Event (collectively, the “Released Parties”) arising from or related to my participation in the Event.

This release includes claims arising from the ordinary negligence of a Released Party to the extent such claims may legally be released or waived.

Nothing in this Agreement is intended to waive any right or claim that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

5. INDEMNIFICATION

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from my acts or omissions during the Event or my violation of Event rules.

6. EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT

If I become injured or ill during the Event and am unable to make medical decisions for myself, I authorize Event personnel to obtain or arrange reasonable emergency medical assistance on my behalf.

I understand that Steel Athletics does not guarantee the availability, adequacy, or outcome of medical treatment.

I understand that I am responsible for medical expenses incurred as a result of my participation, including emergency transportation and treatment, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.

7. PERSONAL PROPERTY

I understand that I am responsible for my own personal property and equipment.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steel Athletics is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or abandoned personal property.

8. EVENT MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION

I understand that Steel Athletics may modify, postpone, shorten, suspend, or cancel the Event because of severe weather, unsafe course conditions, government or military directives, emergencies, natural disasters, or other circumstances that Event organizers reasonably determine could affect participant or public safety.

Any refund, deferral, or transfer will be governed by the Event's published registration and refund policies.

9. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA RELEASE

I authorize Steel Athletics and its authorized representatives to photograph, video record, or otherwise capture my image, likeness, and voice while participating in the Event.

I grant Steel Athletics permission to use such photographs, video, and other recordings for Event documentation, results, promotional materials, social media, websites, advertising, and other lawful promotional purposes without additional compensation to me.

10. NORWEGIAN FOOT MARCH QUALIFICATION

I understand that registration and participation in this Event do not guarantee successful completion, qualification, recognition, certification, or eligibility for any Norwegian Foot March badge, award, certificate, military decoration, or other recognition.

Eligibility for any official recognition is subject to the applicable Norwegian Foot March requirements and any applicable military or governmental regulations.

Steel Athletics does not guarantee that participation or completion will be recognized by any military branch, command, government agency, or other organization.

11. PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

I certify that the information I provide during registration, including my name, date of birth, gender/category, and other information used to determine applicable Event requirements or results, is accurate.

I understand that providing inaccurate information may result in disqualification or an inability to verify my completion.

12. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws applicable in Guam, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

14. ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND AGREEMENT

I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Waiver, Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk & Indemnification Agreement.

I understand its contents and understand that by agreeing to it I may be giving up substantial legal rights.

I confirm that I am entering into this Agreement voluntarily and without coercion.

By checking the agreement box and completing my registration, I acknowledge that my electronic acceptance is intended to serve as my signature and agreement to the terms above.

Required Registration Acknowledgment:
