SLS Dash 5K for Neurodiversity - 2025

SLS Community is proud to host the third SLS Dash 5K for Neurodiversity. This family friendly event will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, and will include a timed 5K as well as a fun run. Both races are an opportunity for runners of all abilities to compete together, champion fitness for neurodivergent adults with support as needed, and have fun! Sponsor and team fundraising will have a life-changing impact and fuel our mission.

Our vision for the future is a holistic approach to supporting neurodivergent adults with essential resources to flourish in a "live, work, play" community that will be woven throughout a transformative mixed-use development called Cato Springs in south Fayetteville. Along with impact partners, our goal is to orchestrate an effort that brings together a continuum of affordable housing options, employment, long term supports and services, clinical services, and recreational opportunities, enmeshed throughout Cato Springs. SLS Community will be integrated in this vibrant neighborhood in an all-encompassing approach to supporting neurodivergent adults by cultivating meaningful community connections. The route for this race weaves through this site, nestled below the beautiful rolling hills stretching from Mount Kessler.

Currently, as a Medicaid waiver service provider, we are focused on scaling residential services, community events for neurodivergent adults, and day services in our new Flourish Center with a focus on individualized programming for vocational equipping, supported employment, and independent living skills. These supports and services are critical to assist many neurodivergent adults to achieve their daily goals, explore their dreams, live more independently, and harness their innate gifts to contribute their skills in society. Our goal is to holistically address some of the complex social issues that confront neurodivergent adults by keeping the focus on each person’s strengths, choice, and longing to connect and contribute. 

Proceeds from this year’s race will go directly into purchasing materials and equipment for the Flourish Center. In return for your generous support, we will honor your company with event signage, collateral & race shirt representation, booth space, opportunities to speak, and more as outlined in our sponsor tiers.

Additionally, we have a “peer to peer” fundraising model for this race where companies or individuals can set up teams and fundraising pages and raise funds for the race, whether they are running/attending the event or not. This is a great way to get employees involved in supporting this cause.
