Since the 1950s, Coastal Humane Society and Lincoln County Animal Shelter have been providing food, love, shelter and veterinary care to mid-coast Maine's homeless and neglected animals.
Coastal Humane Society and Lincoln County Animal Shelter take in over 3,000 homeless and neglected animals each year. While at the shelters, each animal receives thorough medical care, love and affection from incredibly dedicated staff members and volunteers, who treat every animal as if it were their own.
Donations from compassionate individuals and businesses in our community are our primary source of funding. The cost of providing shelter, food and medical care for more than 3,000 animals each year far exceeds what we take in from adoption fees. Town contracts amount to less than 7% of our overall budget. Contributions from caring people ensure that we are able to care for and find homes for thousands of animals in need every year.
Please consider making a donation to help thousands of animals in mid-coast Maine and beyond.
