We are saddened to announce that for the safety of all runners, volunteers, and spectators, we have decided to cancel this year's Race Through the Woods at Hidden Valley Nature Center.
After much careful thought, we have realized that even with implementing all safety protocols we could not guarantee the safety of participants. We felt that limiting runners, staggering start times, and eliminating food and beer sales would also directly impact the quality of the race that we are known for.
We are happy to refund your entry fee or defer your entry to the 2021 Race Through the Woods. Please respond to kerilupien@gmail.com with your request. If you do not respond, we will donate your entry fee to Midcoast Conservancy.
We know that a lot of 2020 races have been canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic- this is heartbreaking for so many athletes who have dedicated so many hours and miles to train for their races. We look forward to cheering you on in the future.
For now, we hope to see you (at a safe distance) on the trails.
