Epic Recess trail run management cannot anticipate, modify, identify, or eliminate that trails can be technical, treacherous, rocky and difficult to run. Race management has no control over the abilities of runners or their safety while out on these trails. Runners are notified that the course is in a remote area. It consists of trails that contain rocks, ruts, and other things beyond management's control. Accidents can happen to anyone at anytime and there is no ambulance or medical help present. I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM ENTERING THIS EVENT AT MY OWN RISK, and upon acceptance of my application or entry in the above mentioned race, I ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY for my own safety. I and my heirs, executors and administrators will hold any member of the race management and race personnel and race director, Alex Marks, David and Terry Howe and all property owners/ tenants whose land the race crosses, and the United States of America c/o USDA Forest Service BLAMELESS for any injury or loss to myself which occurs due to my participation and free from all liability for such injury or loss. In short, I will not sue the race management, their personnel. land owners or other event participants for any reason! I am fully aware of all race rules and agree to abide by those rules set down by race management. I fully understand the consequences for not following the race rules as a participant in this race. I have read the above liability release and will agree to abide by All rules. I grant my irrevocable permission to race management, it's authorized agents, and the event photographer to use my name and any photograph, videos, motion pictures, records or any other record of my participation in this event. I hold anyone associated with this event blameless, and I accept all liability! I ENTER AT MY OWN RISK!
MINORS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING RELEASE SIGNED
We the undersigned parents or guardian understand that Epic Recess trail run events can be a hazardous activity. Injuries or accidents can occur, and this event has no medical aid or insurance for my child. We have entered our child in the above named event at their own risk and understand that we will assume full responsibility for the child's safety. We have read the above release that our child, as a participant has signed, and fully understand the release and rules. We agree to release the race management, Alex Marks, David and Terry Howe, and all officers and directors and members of event management and personnel, and all land owners/ tenants from all claims, demands, lawsuits, or liabilities, which might otherwise arise by virtue of injury to our child no matter who is at fault. We do further authorize any event personnel of the above event to consent on our behalf to any emergency treatment by a properly licensed person which may be required for our child and do agree to indemnify and hold harmless anyone giving such consent.
I grant my irrevocable permission to race management, it's authorized agent, and the event photographer to use my child's name, in any photograph, video, motion pictures, records or any other record of my child's participation in this event.
