CEDAR CITY HALF MARATHON & ADVENTURE 5K
PARTICIPANT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING. THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT.
By registering for or participating in the Cedar City Half Marathon and/or Adventure 5K (“Event”), I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participating in a running race is a potentially hazardous activity and involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: physical exertion, falls, contact with other participants, effects of weather, traffic, surface conditions, wild or domestic animals, and acts of nature. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks, known and unknown, associated with my participation in the Event.
2. Waiver and Release of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, do hereby release, waive, and discharge **Cedar City Corporation**, all Event sponsors, organizers, volunteers, officials, and related entities and individuals (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, costs, expenses, or causes of action of any kind arising out of or in connection with my participation in or travel to/from the Event, whether arising from negligence or otherwise.
3. Medical Treatment and Insurance
I understand that medical support may be provided by volunteer or contracted personnel who may be called upon to provide assistance at my request or by the Event organizers. I consent to such care and acknowledge that I am solely responsible for all costs associated with any medical treatment. I attest that I am physically fit and medically able to participate and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional.
4. Rules Compliance
I agree to abide by all rules and guidelines of the Event and to follow all instructions from Event officials. I understand that failure to comply may result in my disqualification or removal from the Event without refund.
5. Media Release
By participating in this event, I hereby grant permission to Cedar City Corporation and its agents, sponsors, and affiliates to use any photographs, video recordings, or other media of me taken during the Event for promotional, educational, or any other lawful purpose without compensation or approval. I understand that my likeness may appear on websites, social media, printed materials, and other media platforms. 6. Minors
If signing on behalf of a minor participant under the age of 18, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and consent to the minor’s participation under the terms outlined in this waiver. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties for any claims arising from the minor’s participation.
7. Severability
I agree that if any provision of this waiver is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
