$925 Raised for Brown Play School

Brown Play School was founded in 1950 by members of the Brown University community.  It is now an independent, non-profit preschool serving three to five-year-old children from RI and nearby MA.  The school philosophy is based on the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood, which originated in Italy and has captured the attention of the world by focusing on art and creativity with an emphasis on parental involvement and community. All proceeds of this fundraiser benefit our school in many ways including: enhancing the children's curriculum with programs such as yoga, woodworking and music; matching contributions made to the teacher retirement plan; and helping with needed repairs to our school building and play yard. Fundraising helps us make these necessary improvements while also continuing to provide children with the highest quality of care and education.
