Bridgeway Recovery Services’ Run for Recovery has always been about community. It’s been about gathering together to raise awareness about recovery from addiction and mental illness, reducing stigma, and sharing in the joy of people’s recovery successes.
This year, although we can’t gather as a community due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our 7th annual Run for Recovery is more about community than it ever has been. At a time when the pandemic has pushed us all six feet apart, we are getting creative in how we connect with each other.
That’s why our 7th annual Run for Recovery is going virtual!
From September 1st, 2020—September 15th, 2020, we are inviting people from our community, state, and country to join our Virtual Run for Recovery. How does it work? A virtual race can be run or walked from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on a trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on a track. We will provide a 5K, 10K, and one mile route for you at the Riverfront Park in Salem, or you may choose to run a completely different route. Run or walk by yourself or with friends—from a safe distance, of course!
To make this event as successful as possible, we are asking for community support. Your generous sponsorship of $250 aids our mission of helping people recover from symptoms of mental illness and addiction and helps reduce the stigma attached to these conditions. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions at email@example.com or at (971) 718-3235.
Thank you for your time and consideration in supporting our Virtual 7th annual Run for Recovery. We hope you will join us between September 1st — 15th as a part of a resilient, compassionate, and undefeated community that has grown stronger in the face of adversity.
