$1,140 Raised for Thorne to Rose Foundation

Thorne to Rose Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to culturally educate and breakdown the stigma surrounding mental health illness in black and brown communities serving teens and young adults between the ages of 13 and 25.  The foundation seeks to achieve its objectives through aware, coping skills, therapy, and support (ACTS).  The money that is raised through donations and fundraising is used to:

(1)Provide grants to therapist that serve the BIPOC communities that demonstrate a financial need to assist with their clients to continue positive coping skills and therapy.

(2)Provide resources that will assist local schools in creating safe spaces for kids dealing with anxiety within the educational environment.

(3) CE's for therapist to improve their skills in providing therapy to BICOP communities

(4)  Providing educational classes to parents, clergy and teens to become certified in identifying teens and young adults in crisis.  

(5)  Create financial stability through entrepreneurship for those dealing with mental health disorders.
