10th Annual Take Back the Day 5K Run/Walk - 2019

Pre-registration for the 10th Annual Take Back the Day 5k Run/Walk is now closed. Onsite registration will be available on race day, April 20, 2019! Please see additional race information below: 

Race Day Timeline:

5K Registration: 7:15 – 8:15 a.m.

5K Kick-off: 8:30 a.m.  

5K Race begins: 8:45 a.m.

Runners: $30 day of race, $20 active military (military ID required at check-in)

Walkers: $5 for students, $10 for individuals, $15 for families  

Awards & T-Shirts:

Awards will be given to the overall top male and female finishers as well as to the top male and female finishers in each age division. Age divisions are: 14 & under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and up. Complimentary race shirts will be given to all runners and walkers who are pre-registered by April 1st. Day-of shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one t-shirt provided per registration, including family registration. Additional t-shirts may be available for purchase on-site.

Race/Walk Route:

USATF Certified #: GA14024WC | Augusta’s Fastest 5k!  All Downhill!                      

The USATF certified 5K route will begin at the Augusta University Amphitheater (Summerville Campus), continue down Central Avenue, through the campus of Paine College and Augusta University’s Downtown Campus and end in front of University Hospital located at 1350 Walton Way.

Free shuttles will be available to transport back to Augusta University. [Dog owners and dogs must provide own transportation back to AU]
