Race Description

Before the Irish take the field at Fenway Park, run the streets of historic Downtown Boston! Join us for the second annual Shamrock Series 5K, which will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21st prior to Notre Dame's matchup against Boston College at Fenway Park! Runners will enjoy a scenic downtown Boston course, beginning and ending at the iconic Boston Common. Registration is limited to 3,000 participants.

All runners will receive a limited edition Under Armour Shamrock Series 5K race shirt, a commemorative finisher's medal, and more! Awards will be presented to the top three overall finishers, as well as age division winners. This year, Notre Dame is proud to partner with DMSE Sports, the world's premier race production and management company. The entry fee is $45 and registration is now open! Online registration will close at 12:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, November 19th. The course will close at 9:00 a.m., and remaining walkers will be invited to conclude their walk on the sidewalks following the same route.

Fun way to start off the ND Shamrock Series Home Game away from Home! Great Under Armor Swag, post race food and a flat, fairly fast course. Only negative, a few too many turns for a 5k at the end and we had to pay for coffee after (it was cold out), but really that's it! A great race to get in a workout before the game and celebrate the Irish!

awesome experience in Indy

I ran cross country in high school and decided to lace up my shoes for the Shamrock Series 5k on Saturday before the ND game vs. Purdue. The course was great and gave a good look at the sights and sounds of Indy. After a big dinner at St. Elmo Steak House on Friday, I wasn't about to break my PR, but the Band of the Fighting Irish on the street corners and the Rudy Soundtrack near the finish line helped power me through. Overall, it was a great experience and awesome way to kick off game day.

Shamrock Series 5K - Indianapolis

An amazing race and opportunity to share in the spirit of the weekend's Shamrock Series. The course layout and mid-run amenities, like the Notre Dame Band, made for an atmosphere of celebration more than a race. I can't wait to partake in 2015!

This was a fabulous race. There was a large and enthusiastic field of runners, the course was clearly marked, the pre-race venue kept runners warm and happy and the post-race venue was a great meeting area. I love the medal - the nice start of a Shamrock Series collection. Many thanks to all who organized and ran in support of graduate fellowships at Notre Dame.
