Celebrating it’s 39th year, the Santa Monica-Venice Christmas Run is Los Angeles’ largest holiday running event and a great fundraiser. In fact, the race is one of the most popular running events in Los Angeles, regardless the time of year. Starting in 1977, the Christmas Run debuted with 10,000 runners. For almost four decades it has not only remained one of the most popular local running events but has become an integral part of the Los Angeles community during the holiday season. The Christmas Run is truly a great way to start the holidays.
This year’s Santa Monica-Venice Christmas Run will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2016 and will again include its legendary 5k and a 10k run/walk that includes a long stretch down the iconic Venice Boardwalk and finishes at the world famous Venice Pavilion. This is a flat, fast 5k and 10k. The 1k Kid’s Fun Run course starts and finishes at the Venice Pavilion.
