Race to the Rock is Jevaia Foundation's primary fundraising event of the year (www.jevaia.org). Our 2.4 mile fun-run is short but hilly, making it a great time for hard core runners and relaxers alike. Costumes, accessories, and all modes of non-motorized transportation (bikes, skateboards, scooters, and strollers for little ones) are welcome. Just want to hang out without running, or have kids of different ages? That's why we have the Wall of Creativity, awesome henna painting, a silent auction full of cool stuff from local vendors, and delicious food. Come join us whether you're running, walking, rolling, crawling, or cheering for others.
Adult Run: 2.4 Miles
Youth Run (Ages 12 and Under): .6 Miles
Prizes will be awarded for creative costumes and for racing with an item that would have been useful on the Mayflower, and of course, to the fastest runners.
8am – Registration and Opening of Silent Auction
8:30 – Check-in for pre-registered runners
9:00 – Race Kick Off
9:45-10:15 – Silent Auction, Refreshments & Award Ceremony
10:30 – Closing Ceremony & Raffle Drawing
Kids, We Need You!
A Race to the Rock tradition: Kids of all ages are invited to a pre-race Pizza Party in Greenwich Forest Sunday prior to the event to create signs honoring local businesses that are sponsoring this event. To help out, contact Laura@jevaia.org.
