The Rex Lee Run for a Cure has been a strong annual tradition at BYU since 1990. Now in its 23rd year, it includes a 5K, a 10K, and a 1K Fun Run. It is a race to honor Rex E. Lee, former President of BYU and founding Dean of the J. Reuben Clark Law School, who passed away due to cancer.
The run is sponsored by the Simmons Center for Cancer Research with the help of the BYU Cougars vs Cancer group. The race provides not only an opportunity to recognize the cancer fighters in our own lives, but presents an opportunity to support cancer research in our own community. Following the race and the medals ceremony, there will be a carnival including inflatables and prizes free to all community members. ALL PROCEEDS from race registrations go to funding cancer research fellowships at the BYU Simmons Center for Cancer Research. Sign up today to join BYU's fight against cancer!
