The goal of the virtual Dia De Los Muertos Charity Health Run will meet the physical and mental health needs of San Luis Valley residents of all ages. We invite our neighboring towns and cities to “run for the health of it” with the Town of San Luis. This run will promote mental health and physical health during COVID-19. All participants will have an opportunity to participate at the location of their choice adhering to CDC’s COVID-19 guidelines.
Dia de los Muertos is a celebration to honor the lives of loved ones who have passed. Familias (families) create ofrendas (alters) with loves ones' pictures, favorite foods and drinks on the days of Nov 1st to Nov 2nd. Ofrendas are also decorated with calaveras (skulls), papel picado, and the traditional Mexican Cempasúchil flower also known as the marigold.
