Cross Roads House Virtual Cycling Event

All funds go directly to repairing bikes for donation to the Cross Roads House. One month time period to complete the social distancing cycling event. It is virtual, do it anywhere! Challenge yourself and know your contribution is making a difference in someone's life. Unfortunately there are no prizes or t-shirts, however an update letter will be sent in the mail. 

Background: 

Thanks to the generous donations of Parishioners in Christ the King Parish in Concord, NH, my friends and I collected around 30 bikes and fixed them up to re-gift them to the homeless community of NH. Some bikes have already been donated to organizations in Concord and Manchester. The next wave of bikes will be donated to the Cross Roads House in Portsmouth, NH. However, this group of bikes requires purchasing new parts in order to bring the bikes back to functionality. This cycling event serves two purposes: i) to raise the financial resources needed to purchase new parts/tools for bikes and regular maintenance and ii) to encourage participants to challenge themselves in endurance cycling by breaking personal records or simply enjoying the NH summer landscape. 

Information on the Cross Roads House: 

Cross Roads House provides emergency and transitional shelter to homeless men, women, and children in the Seacoast area. They provide homeless families and individuals with basic necessities, as well as the tools and guidance they need to return to permanent housing.
