The 16th Annual Turkey Triathlon and 5K Trot is going virtual in 2020! Put on by Weber State Campus Recreation, this race includes a 5k run, 10k bike, 300yd swim, and is a reverse sprint distance to introduce participants to Triathlons.
Entry into this fit and fun event provides a t-shirt, race packet (with samples and goodies), a chance to get tri experience, the chance to win some sweet prizes (need a turkey for Thanksgiving, you can win one here!), and a great day filled with fun!
Participants can submit results November 1-6 through Race Entry's Virtual Results Upload, and the Award Ceremony will be held via Zoom on November 7th at 10am.
The top 3 male and female finishers will receive an award, as well as the top male and female finishers in each age category.
There will be a sweet raffle at the end of the race for some awesome prizes!
How the Race Works
You do not have to complete all three legs on the same day. You can complete each leg separately.
In order to be in contention for Top Placement Awards, you must do the run and bike on our course.
Do not include transition times in your results if you choose to do the triathlon continuously.
*If you need a pool to swim in and/or timing for the swimming portion, you can swim at Swenson Pool. If you don't have a Weber ID or membership to the gym, show the front desk your registration confirmation and they will allow you to enter to swim November 1-6. Lifeguards can provide timing and lap counting for your swim. Check our website for pool hours.
I love this triathlon! The campus is beautiful and has the most friendly feeling. The life guards and staff were great for answering questions and getting us in for the swim. I had so much fun! I plan to do this again and again! Also, Rebecca Mabile does a great job reaching out to everyone and answering questions via email. Thanks Rebecca for all you do!
This was my very first attempt at a triathlon ever. The fact that I could complete it over the course of a week was a plus! This was the perfect way to practice for when I try a non-virtual triathlon. The organizers are super nice and flexible people who answered all my questions in a timely manner. Also, the registration price is so reasonable and affordable! Keep up the great work! Thanks so much.
This is always a fun event. It is well organized and the staff has been able to work through a variety of challenges each year, such as rain, cold, COVID, etc.
